Upcoming Food Photography & Styling Workshop!

PhotoWorkshopPie_Final

Please join me for a one day intensive Food Photography & Styling Workshop at iCi Restaurant in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. It's two weeks away, on Wednesday, November 6th, and there are still spots available!

Learn how to improve your photography technique, how to use better lighting, master composition, styling and photo edting. You will receive film photography tips from me as well!

Special guest, Xochitl Gonzalez, of A.a.B. Creates will be helping with styling that day. Learn how to prop-style a table from one of the most talented event designers in the city as Xochitl will be designing a gorgeous tablescape for us to shoot and later dine at.

A little background: My interest in teaching
began when I was a teacher’s assistant for the Large Format class in the RISD
Photo Dept. I also TA'd for Photo 101 and the Lighting class. I have always
grasped the technical aspects of photography pretty well, and it’s always been
rewarding for me to share this knowledge.

I'll always remember
the professors who had an influence on me. Ann Fessler for her awesome
critiques and for pushing our bodies of work to the edge, Richard Lebowitz and
Henry Horenstein for emphasizing the importance of sound technique and darkroom
work, and Deborah Bright for imparting her knowledge of history onto us – those
stunning/piercing portraits by Dorothea Lange and Julia Margaret Cameron will
forever remain engraved in my mind. I owe it to many of them for their
encouragement and sometimes grueling honestly but mostly for seeing the merit
in my work.

On Nov 6th I hope to
share and also to hear about what you are currently working on to help you
grow.
