I’m feeling very hungry right now! Today I thought I’d post some collages of my favorite food photography work and call it a “Retrospective”. The Karen Wise Photography Studio has been busier than ever in the past two weeks with wedding inquiries (congrats to all of you newlyweds!) Remember, I also love to photograph food; show me food at your weddings, and I will shoot it! Have a great weekend! You’re seeing a number of images here that I shot on film with the 4×5 Studio camera and the Mamiya . More below…
I had the pleasure of photographing Giselle and AJ’s wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico a couple of years ago and now I’m delighted to be photographing their maternity session! Film is my preferred photography medium and it was so great to be able to use it for this shoot. Giselle and AJ have a beautiful apartment with large south east facing windows, so there was a ton of light.
Congrats to the lovely couple on their expecting their first, a baby girl! I photographed Giselle and AJ’s wedding in Los Cabos a couple of years ago, and now, their growing family!
There was such pretty light emanating from the bedroom windows on this cold and windy November day. The pictures were shot on Kodak film with medium format cameras.

These photos were actually from a trip we took in March after Quebec was hit with 5 consecutive snowstorms! However, since we just got back last weekend from Mont Tremblant, again, I was dying to feature Chandler's completed Time Lapse. His time lapse was a series of photos shot every 20 seconds, from a camera rigged in the car for our long distance drive.
Here is the time lapse, beautifully edited, at the end of this post.
Above are the photos from the cross-country skiing at Le Domain St. Bernard in Tremblant, Quebec.
Style Me Pretty published a post on Friday on the lovely and original floral arrangements of Hana Floral Design of Mystic, CT. The owner, Yumiko Fletcher, and I worked on thi wedding of Deb and Jack in Stonington, CT this past September. I’m so happy to see her beautiful work getting such wonderful exposure.
