These color film portraits from Becca and Mike’s Gedney Farm wedding were taken during cocktail hour, just after the rain cleared. Gedney Farm is a restaurant, inn, and wedding venue in New Marlborough, Massachusetts, located in the southeastern Berkshires. It’s a quaint gem and one of my favorite Berkshires wedding venues.
Weaving a few rolls of film into a wedding or family session enriches the story. Film brings realism, natural color, grain, texture, and a subtle sense of dreaminess. Shooting film also slows the pace, allowing for a more thoughtful and intentional experience.
The first color images below were photographed on film. The remaining images, including the black-and-whites, were shot digitally. I love working with both, and I love every image featured here.
Becca wore a stunning Rebecca Schoneveld gown. Mike looked equally sharp in a tailored Suit Supply suit, finished with a dapper vest and pocket watch. Enjoy the photos!
