I’m thrilled to be featured in The Knot magazine with Michele and Daniel’s gorgeous Manhattan wedding! What a pleasure it was to collaborate with the talented Ron Wendt Design on this Angel Orensanz Wedding. The bride and groom got ready and had their first look at Trump Soho Hotel. I love shooting at Angel Orensanz. It’s a vast cavernous old synagogue in the lower east side, on Norfolk Street. It looks old-world and historic, because it is – it dates back to the 1800’s. There is no daylight inside (except for maybe a smidge emanating from the stained glass way up high) but the uplighting used at this venue accentuating the gothic architecture is so beautiful, luminous and photogenic. On this day, Roberto was the lighting designer, he is so talented!
Michele and Daniel chose a light blue and icy white lighting backdrop which contrasted nicely with the season – their wedding took place in the heat of August. Please check out the story in The Knot print magazine and online this month.
