Here are the film prints (proofs) on my table, from Debjani & Sandeep’s stunning wedding at Angel Orensanz. This spectacular event was almost entirely planned by the couple! All of the vendors were hand selected by them.
Debjani’s beautiful cream colored (second) dress was custom designed from pieces of sari in India.

I've been a bit obsessed lately with scanning old polaroids and making new ones. Especially since a lot of the Polaroid films for my professional cameras have recently been discontinued.
This rhubarb photo was made on Fuji instant film for the cookbook I am working on with Silvia Lehrer. The rhubarb was picked for us by a farmer in Amagansett, NY.
Here are some film prints (proofs) I just got back from the lab for the Hamptons cookbook. Now I’m back in Water Mill at Silvia Lehrer’s to resume shooting. So much fun. More recipes and photos to come!
I’ve been working on location lately in the Hamptons for food writer and recipe developer Silvia Lehrer’s next cookbook, Savoring the Hamptons. I was in Silvia’s home in Water Mill, NY for 4 days last week, shooting her recipes and visiting local farms where I shot farmers and artisans with their bees, chickens, cows, goats, calves, vegetables and fish!! There are 8 shoots altogether spanning 4 seasons, and 8 months. Such an incredibly exciting project!
We are currently into the Spring and Summer sections of the book. So much shooting, but we’re nearing the end!

I'm in the process of revamping my food website — it's been way too long! The weddings took over for a while and now I'm craving a little Food and Art (www.FoodandArt.com) re-design!
I am currently shooting for a cookbook, to be published in the Spring of 2011, so I will have a lot of new work to display. I've also been drawn to some of my older, unshown work and in particular my old Polaroids. I hope to include a few of those on my redesigned site…

Above is my Aunt Julie rolling out some dough for a Pot Pie recipe from her book The Way We Cook, published by Houghton Mifflin, in 2004.
This one image of a cherry blossom tree stands out from the rest for
me. I love how the tree is backlit, with the contrasting color of the
green grass and the stone architecture behind it.
In November I shot this destination wedding which took place in Canouan, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a small island a puddle jumper's flight away from Barbados.
These images were shot both digitally and on film. I used the Contax 645 for a lot of them and the Canon 5D Mark II for some of the ceremony and for the dancing.
The Holga images were made by Megan Greenlee. And the wonderfully stylish Malin Wong was responsible for the Event Planning, through her company Lavender May.
