April in Barbados – Part II

I spent part of April in Barbados before my big day! (I got married in May 2011.) Here are some pictures from my visit with my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Geoff, the chattel houses I visited, and the Barbadian flora and fauna I saw. I never tire of it.

These were all shot on film with medium format cameras and my trusty Holga.KarenWiseBarbados97c07-011

My aunt has the most amazing interest and knowledge of horticulture. The above plants include: Desert Rose, White Petrea, Pink Bougainvillea, Sedum Succulents and Shower of Gold – the yellow flower growing up the windmill.

This post also features my Aunt’s biscotti (mandlebrot) from her baked goods company: Crumbs Homemade  which we snacked on at Faraway cottage on one of our road trips!
